More on Italian Prime...

Fred,

...(Being) an avid Optimus Prime fan as well, I must say your Prime Variants page has been a huge help to me, so I'd like to thank you for putting together such a wonderful resource.

I recently came across something that I didn't see on your page and I was wondering if you may be interested in documenting it yourself. It's an Italian (GiG) release G1 Prime, but the catch is that it has plastic wheels and feet as opposed to the more "common" version we both know of. I only know of two others that own this particular piece boxed and they are Tony Preto and Paul Hitchens. Mine is loose and in pretty bad shape (I'm currently in the process of restoring it), but I took a few pictures and I wanted to share them with you. Hopefully they'll be of some use to you.

Thanks for your time. Take care!

(Editor's Note: Now, that's nifty. :-) Plastic wheels and feet, the slotted leg, x (cross) bracing on the inside of the leg...what looks kinda freaky to me are the two different color fuel tanks on his legs (light vs dark blue under the worn chrome). The idea of those parts being plastic kinds reminds me of the KB special Magnus from '86. :-) Below is a box version, just for comparison:
