Talking About the Origins of Overstock Theory

Hmm, well, there is the evidence of red Bumblebees and yellow Cliffjumpers,

Himawari responded:

Ahhh, but those red and yellow Bumblebees and Cliffjumpers were never taken "out of a package" and placed into a TF one. They appeared from the start to the last run w/rubsigns of the minibots. And to boot, not only were the later updated with newer copyrights, they had different stickers on the top and at the back behind their heads.

And Fred adds:

However, it's not the later-issue material that's in-dispute persay; only the initial-releases. Still, one could back track and use the copyright update on newer off-colors to bash the older off-colors.

and the ever so loving "Bumblejumper", so it is possible that the older stuff was packaged in with the first waves of the first two series.

Himawari responded:

Nope. It may have come through the same mold being used at the time, or something still sitting on the stock shelves, but never from something packaged. If THAT were true, we would see Transformers with Micro Change and Diaclone sticers. (Don't get me started with the classic Prowl...grrrr.)

and Fred adds:

If one holds to the belief that the initial-pieces were repackages, the same people would argue that the sticker was either never put on, or taken off when placed into TF package. Believe me, I tried that argument before. ;-) That was the answer I got in return. So we're still back at square one for the moment.
